This was okay. Guided by a previous review I added mushrooms, but it was still one note. I think the sauce needs something more. Maybe basil in the sauce instead of on top?

Debbie 3 years ago

It needs more substance such as mushrooms and onions. It would make a good stuffing for peppers.

Yummy!! My family really enjoyed this dish - would recommend adding some broccoli, garlic and herbs. Served with roast pumpkin and peas, delish!

Really good blend of flavors

My daughter said it tasted like spaghetti.

If you're short on time, use a jar or marinara sauce instead of making the sauce from scratch.

Excellent I used riced cauliflower instead of quinoa

Really well easy to make

We loved this. I added some of the tomatoes in the sauce and a small amount of Italian seasoning instead of red pepper flakes. We'll see this again! Thanks!

This one was absolutely perfect way better than expected

I LOVED this, the contrast between the chicken and cheese with the balsamic, pepper flake and grape toms, excellent

Super easy. Definitely more chicken. More basil, more tomatoes.

It was ok. Honestly not much flavor. I was hoping to love it and really didn't. I may try again.

Great dish, added some fresh garlic and some fresh basil and oregano to the sauceUsed chicken breasts baked in a white wine marinade which kept the chicken real moist

Amazing! Added red onions into the sauce and subbed pearl cous cous for the quinoa family favorite!

I wasn't sure about this as I was making it but it turned out great. In the future I will probably add some of the basil to the sauce just before mixing with the other ingredients and baking it. Regardless, it was quite tasty and would definitely make again.

Wonderful! I always add extra hot red pepper

This was delicious! I used crushed tomatoes with basil seasoning for some extra taste. I also added more crushed red pepper flakes for some extra zing. I will definitely make this again.

Good but could use much more seasoning. I substituted couscous for quinoa. Despite the lighted flavor I will probably make again but amp up the seasoning

This is awesome. Super tasty and easy to make. I put crushed red peppers only on half, so the kids wouldn’t complain about too spicy.

Cooked the chicken vs. buying roasted.

At first it tasted very bland so I had to incorporate more flavors, it all went well and delicious.

My family loved this one, but did request only 1/4 tsp of Cheyanne pepper the next time I make it.

This turned out spectacular! My husband and I loved it. Leftovers heat up really well. For future, I will add a little extra spice.2ND TIME: I like to cook quinoa for full 15 minutes and let it sit overnight - cold, day-old quinoa seems to work better in making this dish “fluffier”. If you use soggy quinoa, your dish will be soggy. Totally can make this ahead: shred chicken (I broil my own chicken breast with some Lawry's seasoning vs. buying a roasted chicken); make quinoa a day ahead and make sauce. When ready, all your ingredients are ready - just assemble. Excellent dish!3RD TIME: Boil quinoa & simmer, like pasta; keeps in fridge for days! I "bursted" the grape tomatoes in olive oil & garlic on the stovetop. Topped them onto the finished dish - much more flavorful. Definitely spice up the sauce to your liking but we continue to love this dish.

It was delicious! Instead of grape tomatoes I used Roma tomatoes and cut them really thin. Will definitively be making again

It was really good but I think the sauce needs a little more flavor. Need to make it again
