Let’s build a CITY! There are many different types of engineering jobs, and building is one of the most fun! What would a city be without the architects and engineers who come up with the ideas, plans and building skills to make it all come together?
Children will put their engineering and architecture skills to work as they build city themed models using LEGO® Bricks. They’ll have a blast using custom-built cars to move the people of the city all around town – brick by brick! What an accomplishment to be able to proudly exclaim “We built this BRICK City!”

We’ll build motorised models that represent the amazing spacecraft from the worlds most popular movie and so much more!

How would you like to turn your next LEGO® creation into a robot, programmed to do exactly what you tell it to do? The Junior Robotics 101 workshop offers all the fun of building with LEGO® Bricks PLUS the challenge of software coding!
Using drag-and-drop icon-based LEGO® WeDo® software, Day One provides an introduction into the world of computer programming and robotics that will equip children to succeed in a technology-based marketplace. On Day Two, we dive into using Motions & Tilt sensors to extend and challenge in this exciting workshop. This is sure to please any young budding programmer!

Experience the cutting edge of technology with this introduction of LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 Robotics. Students will be captivated as they incorporate the newest generation of motors, sensors and software by programming their commands directly into the intelligent brick.
First timers will test their capabilities by moving an object with a robotic claw, build a tricycle that changes direction and a robot that detects colours. While those who are ready to advance will face new challenges using more complex sensors and code. Our endless list of builds is sure to provide the complete fundamental components of robotics at best!

Don’t get left out in the cold! It’s our own Brick Snow Day filled with motorised Bricks 4 Kidz models of popular snow sports, from the hair-raising thrill of the luge and snow mobile to ice hockey and skiing. Then we’ll build our own brick Snowman and other winter characters and create a special winter craft for each child to take home at the end of the day. No snow? No problem – all you need to create these winter memories are our bricks and your imagination.

Jump into the world of arcade and video games in this SUPER FUN workshop (completely screen-free). Eat flashing dots, collect coins and rings, avoid getting destroyed by enemies…. There are so many obstacles to overcome and levels to beat!
Kids will build the famous plumber brothers (Mario), a Brick Eater, a jumping hedgehog (Sonic), alien invaders, and so much more! Can you guess which game each model represents? Super fun for boys and girls.

Common Questions about our School Holiday Workshops with LEGO®!
What is your policy on postponing or cancelling a Workshop?
Cancellations made at least THREE weeks from the start date of the Workshop will receive an 80% refund. Cancellations made TWO to THREE weeks from the start date of the Workshop will receive a 50% refund. There are no refunds for Workshops cancelled LESS than TWO weeks prior to the scheduled date of the Workshop.
In cases where you have provided a Creative Kids Voucher as payment or partial payment, we will provide a FULL credit for the Creative Kids portion for a future school holiday workshop or after school program.
We offer FULL credits for missed programs due to illness. We trust parents to let us know and don’t require a doctor’s certificate. It is hard enough to see doctors these days and we don’t want this to be a problem!
How old does my child need to be?
As noted above, children are welcome at our Workshops from as young as five as long at they are enrolled in primary school! Our programs provide activities suitable to the age and skill of each child and cater for children from K – 6.
Is there a maximum number of kids?
Yes, we keep our groups sizes small to provide a quality experience in all our venues. For our Collaroy centre, we currently cap our numbers at 20 for School Holiday programs. For North Balgowlah Community Centre, we have a maximum of 20. For Forestvilles, we are currently capping most programs at 16.
What should my child bring with them?
Please note that food is not provided. Please provide a nut-free snack for your child to enjoy during every day of the workshop. If staying for the full day children will need to bring their own nut-free lunch. Please make sure your child wears covered shoes, sunscreen and brings a hat! We will supervise them outside at breaks. While activities in BRICKS 4 KIDZ®workshops with LEGO®Bricks are very safe, we place a very high focus on child welfare – at least one staff member at every one of our activities will have a valid First Aid certificate!
How do I make payment?
Payment is made using a credit card online through our secure payment gateway. Your child’s place is confirmed when payment is made. All transactions are processed in Australian dollars (AUD).
Do the prices include GST?
Yes, all prices are inclusive of GST.
